We are only a few weeks away from the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. The Olympic Games are always viewed by millions all over the world, but as we get closer to the Olympics it is interesting to think about the reality that this might be one of the most scrutinized Olympic Games in history.
There is so much controversy about this year’s Summer Games being held in Brazil that it is almost jeopardizing the integrity of the event. It might become one of the least attended Olympic Games in the history of the Olympics, and that is saying a lot when you remember that there was a Summer Olympic Games held in Nazi Germany.
The country is unsettled, there are riots on a weekly basis protesting different social issues.

Hometown star Travis DeMerritte is now part of the Atlanta Braves organization.
DeMeritte was part of the three-player deal between the Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves earlier this week which will see the Winder-Barrow High School graduation part of his home state's professional team. DeMeritte was drafted out of high school by the Rangers and has played professional baseball for three years.
Recently, DeMeritte competed for the High Desert Mavericks, located in Adelanto, CA. In 88 games with the team, he has compiled a .272 batting average with 25 homers and 59 RBI.
DeMeritte was the 30th overall pick in 2013. His trade sent Lucas Harrell and Dario Alvarez to the Rangers' organization.
During his final season of high school for the Diamond Doggs, DeMeritte batted .400 with 12 homers.
