A 55-14 setback to The Heritage School caused the Bethlehem Christian Academy football team to slip to 1-2 in Region 1-AAA (GISA).
The Knights received their two touchdowns last Friday from Joey Parillia and Ethan Torbett but they were not enough to keep track with the visiting Hawks, the defending region champ who raced out to a 34-0 halftime lead.
The Heritage School would eventually lead 55-0 before BCA scored its two touchdowns.
“To be honest, it was the same story as the week before,” said a disappointed BCA coach Lance Fendley. “We are not playing with a whole lot of effort right now. It’s just one of those things where we have to step up to the plate in a big-time game. That game had a ton of implications to it. We could have been 2-1 in the region going into our bye week. It was a good opportunity for us to step up and take charge but we didn’t do it.”
