The Apalachee High School baseball team has been downright offensive in its first two games of 2012.
To be more clear, the Diamond Cats have been offensive in terms of having plenty of firepower at the plate. In two games last week against Central Gwinnett, AHS combined for 28 runs. It often takes a baseball team a few games before its bats come to life. The opposite has been true for the Wildcats.
“It’s nice to get two wins to start the season,” said Apalachee coach Mike Cavey. “Our batters have been doing a good job, We have three good opponents coming up so it will be interesting to see how we do and if we can keep it going.”
