Warmer weather can’t get here soon enough for the Banks County soccer teams, who returned to the field last week despite chilly winds. The Leopards and Lady Leopards faced East Jackson Tuesday followed by Oglethorpe County Thursday.
The boys are off to decent start, 1-1 after falling to the Eagles 4-1 on the road then adding a win at home over the Patriots. Francisco Padron and Koewy Heu started Banks County off in the first period with a goal each.
Leading 2-0 at the break, the Leopards held off the Patriots over the next 45 minutes adding another goal to match Oglethorpe’s lone goal to secure the 3-1 victory.
