World Crown weekend shaping up at Gresham

Defending World Crown 300 champion Russell Fleeman heads a quickly growing list of entries for the 2009 Late Model racing classic that will re-open the totally renovated Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson the weekend of November 13-15.

“The old racetrack had a lot of character to it,” said Fleeman of the former Peach State Speedway. “Now the racetrack has new asphalt on it and while it has similar characteristics, it’s a whole lot faster. This place is fabulous. Mr. Gresham and the rest of the team here have done a fantastic job with the entire facility renovation.

"I can’t wait for all the fans to come here and experience this. I know I can’t wait to get here and try to defend our title in the World Crown 300.” [Full Story »]
