Has it really been 14 years since a power hungry athletic director, with executor’s axe in hand, changed the course of men’s basketball at the University of Georgia?

With the Bulldog program in the process once again of trying to find a new head coach (I assume the powers-that-be are because no word about the so-called search is known) one can’t help but think back to a coach who provided the program with stability, success and leadership not seen since his unjust firing in the early spring of 1995. Diamond Wildcats post third region win

The one-two combination of Seth Maddox and Hunter Coleman helped the Apalachee High School baseball team earn its third Region 8-AAAA victory of 2009 Monday.

The Wildcats took a 5-2 home win against Habersham Central as Maddox pitched another gem working six strong innings with seven strikeouts. Maddox allowed just four hits while keeping the Raider batters in check for the most part. [Full Story »]

The Winder-Barrow High School baseball team learned that lesson Monday afternoon when it traveled to Loganville to face the reigning king of Class AAAA. [Full Story »]
