As Banks County High School softball coach Josh Lord looks over the scorebook from his team’s most recent games he sees a trend.
The Lady Leopards have been involved in several close contests and have been finding ways to win them.
“This past week was a lot like the first weekend in many ways,” Lord said. “Once again we were involved in several close contests, but fortunately we came out on top this time”
BCHS went 5-1 in its recent stretch of games and learned a great deal in the process, Lord said.
“We feel we’ll be better prepared to start region play Sept. 2 against Jefferson,” the coach said. “We have to start scoring more runs and we will work hard to be more disciplined at the plate and have to be more disciplined at the plate and have more quality at bats.”
