Mat Eagles Prepare For Region Duals

Four East Jackson wrestlers placed in tournament play recently at Walnut Grove.

East Jackson placed eighth in the tournament, scoring 134 points. Tournament champion Gordon Lee had 269.5 points.

"We are a little behind, we haven't done well in our other tournaments or duals, but we keep getting better each match,” said coach Randy Hill. “We have been forfeiting 112 and Scott Hill at 189 is still out with a shoulder injury from football.”

The Mat Eagles were scheduled to take part in a tri-tournament in Gainesville on Tuesday. Results were unavailable at press time.

East Jackson will travel to Fannin County for the Region Duals this weekend.
