Tigers End 2009 With Win, Jefferson Ahead Sat.

Following a few days off and a win over Jackson County, the Commerce Tigers are ready to get back on the basketball court this weekend.

Coming up for the Tigers is a region contest against Lakeview Academy on Friday. The Tigers will face the Lions on the road following the girls’ game at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, the Tigers look for bragging rights over rival Jefferson, as Commerce hosts the rescheduled game.

Commerce and Jefferson will meet again later in the month.

Saturday’s game follows the girls’ game at 6:00 p.m.

Commerce returned to the court on Tuesday as the Tigers headed to Social Circle. Results were unavailable at press time.

The Tigers entered the 2010 half of the season 5-3 after a substantial win over Jackson County, Dec. 28.
