Eagles Pick Up First Win

Last week was good for the East Jackson Eagles as they not only picked up their first win of the season, but also recorded their first region victory.

The Eagles will host Dawson County in a region pairing on Friday night, hoping to break a three-game Tiger winning streak.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the Eagles will travel to JCCHS for a 5:30 rematch of the Dec. 4 game won by the Panthers, 65-46.

Last Tuesday, the Eagles fell to Riverside Military Academy at home.

On Friday, the Eagles traveled to Blairsville to face the Union County Panthers in a region contest.

The game proved to be a defensive struggle, but strong defense helped the Eagles win 46-42.
