The Leopards are still looking for their first win of the season and wants it to come against long-time rival Commerce.
Banks’ head coach Mike Ruth said, “I don’t care if we were shooting marbles with Commerce, we want to beat ‘em. It is good clean competition, we go to battle with each other.“
Commerce and Banks did not play last season, but during the 07-08 season Banks won both meetings between the schools. This year, the Tigers are 1-1 leading into Friday’s game. Banks will play host with the boys game starting at 8:30 p.m. following the girl’s at 7 p.m.
Ruth is looking forward to the game and is confident that if the Leopards play like they did in the recent Dawson County game, Banks should have a great shot at winning.
