Lady Doggs look to bounce back as season progresses

“We are still learning,” Hill said. “The kids are trying to do what they need to do. They are playing hard.”

Despite losses to Rockdale County and Loganville last week, Hill notes her team will be “OK.”

“We still have a lot of growing to do,” the coach said. “We are catching up pretty fast. They may be rushing trying to learn everything.

In the loss to Rockdale County Saturday on the road, Hill said her team played well.

“We got back into the game off of steals,” the coach said. “We didn’t manage the game as well as we should have. We took too many quick looks. We did play hard and aggressive on defense. It’s always tough when you are playing in someone else’s gym.”

Several players are performing well early in the season including Courtney Milner, Brittney Witt, Lauren Hamill and Mimi Hill.

The Lady Bulldoggs will play at Monroe Area Friday at 7 p.m. before hosting Southwest Atlanta Saturday at 4 p.m.
