Jefferson falls to North Hall, Oconee

The Lady Dragons of Jefferson came up short in their bid for their first win of the season last week, as they fell to both North Hall and Oconee County last week.

Now the attention turns to their next opportunity, as they prepare to travel to Dawson County to face the Lady Tigers on Friday.

Jefferson was the winner of the two teams most recent match up, winning 56-39 back in February.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Lady Dragons started their week off with a trip to Atlanta to face North Hall at Philips Arena last Wednesday.

Things didn’t go as well as Jefferson had hoped, with the Lady Dragons coming out on the short end of a 48-32 score.

Skyler Evanson led in scoring for Jefferson with 16 points on the night.

Up next was a trip to Oconee County on Friday. It was a closer game, but a similar outcome, as the Lady Dragons fell to the Lady Warriors 51-43.

Stephanie Fincher and Brianna Shields led Jefferson in scoring with 10 points each.

Jefferson was scheduled to travel to Fannin County on Tuesday to face the Lady Rebels. Results were unavailable at press time.
