It’s a good way to start a season.
The Jefferson Mat Dragons came away from their season opening event, the Panther Invitational at Jackson County Comprehensive High School, with a definitive team win along with six first place efforts, one second, three thirds and one fourth.
Jefferson scored 278.5 points, outdistancing second place Gilmer County, who scored 197.5 points. Jackson County finished third, with White County fourth.
