Jefferson tops in Panther Invitational

Kyle Stringer took first place in the 103 lb. class. Daniel Barber took first in the 130 lb. category. Cutler Finch took first in the 135 lb. category. Cain Finch took first in the 145 lb. class. Lucas Redd took first in the 189 lb. category. Zack Allen took first in the 215 lb. class.

Cason Thurmond was second in the 112 lb. class after forfeiting due to a suspected case of appendicitis.

Issac Kelley took third in the 119 lb. category. Wayne Elliott took third in the 140 lb. class. Forrest Przybysz took third in the 160 lb. class. Clay Richardson placed fourth in the 125 lb. class.

“They did real well,” said coach Doug Thurmond. “We were real pleased with them. For our first tournament out, and with several of them not having a lot of time to practice, they did real well. We were pleased with it.”
