Tigers Host Landmark To Start Playoffs

“We ain’t going to change nothing. We are going to do the same things we have been doing, but we just have to buckle it up a bit tighter and play hard,” Savage said.

According to Savage, Landmark Christian’s size is not that different from what the Tigers have faced all season.

“Everybody is bigger than we are,” he said. “This crowd just happens to be a bit bigger than normal folk.”

Savage pointed out that the War Eagles’ offensive line averages 250 pounds, with a tailback at around 220.

Size matters, but Landmark Christian throws the ball well too, according to Savage, and the Tiger secondary will have to cover the War Eagles’ receivers.

“We are going to play the same way we have always, and try to cover,” he said.

The winner of Friday’s first-round playoff game advances to face either Darlington or Warren County the following week.
