The Jackson County Lady Panthers cross country team closed out their 2009 campaign with a 16th place finish in state competition at Carrollton over the weekend.

Brittany Aikens was the top finisher for the girls, placing seventh overall with a time of 19:39, and earning AAA All-State honors.

Sydney Baird placed 69th with a 22:10. Rachel Pasko finished 96th with a 23:07. Mary Collin placed 144th with a 24:18.

Lexie Miller placed 161st with a 25:16. Susie Diesch finished 185th with a 26:48. Collin and Diesch both ran personal best times at the meet.
