Panthers close season with region victory

The Jackson County Panthers ended their season the same way they started it.

With a victory.

The Panthers snapped their long region drought Friday night by defeating Stephens County 26-23.

The last time the Panthers won a region contest was back in 2006, when they defeated Winder-Barrow 21-15 on Sept. 22 of that year.

Jackson County ends their 2009 season 4-6 overall and 1-6 in the region.
