While all eyes of late have been on Jefferson High School’s sports programs as of late, the programs at Jefferson Middle School have had a pretty stellar year as well.
In football, JMS went undefeated, winning the region championship, with the team led by coaches Chad Cheatham, Jesse Fowler, Brandon Vinson, Keith Ramey, Montrae Riley, and Brian Holcombe.
JMS has successful fall sports season

Thanks for the excellent coverage of Jackson County's other middle school sports programs! Without it, I would have to rely on other news outlets...oops, I do have to look elsewhere. You only seem to notice the accomplishments of Jefferson Middle School. I was under the impression that West Jackson Middle School, East Jackson Middle School, Kingsbridge Middle School, and Commerce Middle School all have sports programs as well. Is it the intention of the Mainstreet News that middle school sports fans must look to other newspapers for information about those schools' sports?
