Leopards look to finish out strong

It was long, cold night in Jefferson last Friday, as the Jefferson Dragons broke the Leopards dreams of a return to the postseason with a 35-6 defeat.

The Leopards now will look to end the season strong with a 5-5 record. To accomplish this goal, Banks County will have to win each of the last three games starting with this Friday’s road game at Fannin County.

Last year, Banks County took a 34-13 win over the Fannin County Rebels, but that could prove difficult this season.

The Leopards will look to spoil the Rebels’ homecoming and get back into the win column.

Fannin, like Banks, is 2-4 in region play, but is 3-4 overall. The Rebels have totaled 168 points compared to the Leopards’ 95 points for an average score of four touchdowns to Banks’ two per game.

Banks County has allowed on average 78 points per game while Fannin is slightly less, only allowing 25 points per game.
Friday’s game kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. in Blue Ridge.
