Dragons take second, fourth at EJCHS

The Jefferson Dragons cross country team posted strong times and placed well at last week’s MainStreet Meet, held at East Jackson Comprehensive High School.

The Jefferson boys finished fourth overall, with Trae Timmerman turning in a 12th place finish to lead the boys’ efforts with a time of 19:39.

Other top finishers included Jake Sherman with a 20:06, Jake Marlowe with a 20:34, Michael Stephenson with a 20:57 and Matt Deremer with a 21:04.

The girls team finished second overall, with Cara Smith turning in the best performance of the team with a fourth place effort with a time of 22:34.

Other top finishers included Lauren Phillips with a 23:27, Jessica Runkel with a 23:35, Laura Price with a 23:38 and Maggie Adams with a 25:42.
