Panthers perform at MainStreet Meet

The Jackson County Panthers cross country team traveled to Nicholson last week to take part in the MainStreet Meet at East Jackson Comprehensive High School with six area teams competing.

The boys finished fifth overall, with Thomas Carroll turning in an 18th place finish with a personal best time of 20:10 to top the Jackson County runners.

Other finishers included Tyler Ledford with a 20:52. David Serna ran a 21:42. Zac Knight ran a 23:36. John Fernandez ran a personal best time of 23:51. Miguel Guereca ran a 23:52. Dragos Teodor ran a 23:52. Austin Moser ran a 23:57. Li Her ran a personal best time of 30:09.

The girls placed third overall, with Brittany Aikens defending her championship by winning with a time of 20:14.

Other runners included Sydney Baird, who finished third with a personal best time of 22:17. Lexie Miller ran a 24:59. Mary Collin ran a personal best time of 25:48. Susie Diesch ran a season’s best time of 28:17.
