Hundreds of high school football players are in Commerce this week, as the 13th annual Northeast Georgia Offensive Camp gets under way.
Commerce High School head football coach Steve Savage said last month that he expected between 350 to 425 athletes to come out to the camp, which began on Tuesday and will run through Friday at CHS.

Thank the good Lord that it's almost time for football. I used to live in Commerce (grew up there, in fact) but now live out of state and can only keep up by web (by the way, love the new web site, Mark Beardsley) and my usually week-late Commerce News. Dang post office. Anyhow, I am anxious to know how my team is shaping up this year. Can somebody tell me what the prospects are?? I understand Coach Savage had a very young team last year. How do they look going in to this year? Another thing, how is Bobby Lamb's coaching career at Furman going?
