Crowe competes at state level in Alabama

Winder-Barrow Speedway racer Perry Crowe, driver of the #9 Modified 4 Cylinder car, competed in the state championship race at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Ala. this past weekend.

There were more than 350 cars just attempting to make the race in the nine classes they ran.

Just to make the race is a “big thing,” officials said and Perry won his heat race Friday night and started on the pole for the main event Sunday.

A total of 36 drivers started in the main event and Perry finished fourth overall.

John Anderson, driver of the Hobby P4 made the main event, but had mechanical issues finishing 20th.
