JCCHS takes first and second at Madison Co.

The Jackson County cross country teams turned in a pair of strong finishes last week in a four-team meet at Madison County, as the girls were victorious and the boys’ team placed second against East Jackson, Madison County and Commerce.

The girls’ team was led by race winner Brittany Aikens and second place finisher Sydney Baird.

Other scoring finishers included Lexi Miller in fifth, Katie Maiolo in seventh, Mary Collin eighth and Susie Diesch in tenth.

The boys were led by Austin Moser in sixth, John Florentine in seventh and Miguel Guereca in ninth. They were followed by Zack Knight, Sunny Lee, John Fernandez and Dragos Teodor.
