Lady Tigers Add Two Wins; Play Hart Thurs.

Two region wins last week bolstered the Commerce Lady Tigers’ spirits after wet weather forced some rescheduling.

Last week the Lady Tigers picked up region wins, over Towns and Social Circle. Commerce is now 4-2 in region play and 7-8 overall.

Coming up this week, Commerce headed to Prince Avenue on Tuesday. Scores from Tuesday’s game were unavailable at press time.

The Lady Tigers will be back at home today (Wednesday) hosting Athens Christian. Athens Christian has yet to pick-up a region win this season, and Commerce will try to keep it that way as the teams face off at 4:30.

Commerce has dominated the series between the schools, only slipping once since 2005. Athens Christian won the second game in the 2006 season 14-13.

Also this week, the Lady Tigers will host non-region opponent Hart County on Thursday. AAA Hart County defeated Commerce earlier in the season and is 9-13 overall.

Thursday’s game starts at 5:55 p.m.
