Lady Eagles host JHS Thursday

The East Jackson Lady Eagles hope to end their season on a high note after a disappointing week that saw losses to Union County and Banks County.

The Lady Eagles will close out their regular season on Thursday, when they host the Lady Dragons at 5:55 p.m.

Last Tuesday East Jackson lost 2-1 to the Union County Lady Panthers.

Statistics were unavailable at press time.

Next up was a home game Thursday against Banks County.

Things started out well for the Lady Eagles, as they scored three runs in the bottom of the first to take go up 3-0, but Banks County began chipping away at the lead, scoring once in the top of the third, and two more in the top of the sixth to tie the game.

East Jackson got a runner to third in the bottom half of the inning but couldn’t get her home.

Banks County scored once in the top of the seventh, and came away with a 4-3 victory.

Individual statistics were unavailable at press time.

East Jackson was scheduled to travel to Fannin County Tuesday to face the Lady Rebels. Results were unavailable at press time.
