The East Jackson Lady Eagles hope to start their postseason on a high note.
The Lady Eagles face a play-in match next Tuesday as the fifth seed from their side of the area for a chance to get into the area tournament. They will face either Tallulah Falls or Rabun County, depending on the outcome of games this week.
Last week didn’t give the Lady Eagles the boost they needed. After playing well the previous week, including a win against Gainesville, they lost to Jefferson and Eastside last Tuesday.

EJCHS Prepares For Postseason
Jefferson won 2-0, with set scores of 25-11 and 25-9. East Jackson also came up short against Eastside, losing 2-0 in set scores of 25-15 and 25-11.
“We should have been much more competitive against both these teams, but we didn’t do a very good job on defense,” said coach Tim Thomas. “Both these teams have strong hitters, and we didn’t defend against them very well.”
Up next was senior night for the Lady Eagles, as senior players Ansley Brooks, Alena Bindyu and Emily Ortagus were recognized prior to facing Rabun County.
