The Jackson County Lady Panthers volleyball team got warmed up for their 2009 season by taking on the Lady Dragons of Jefferson on Thursday.
Jefferson came away with a 3-0 win, with set scores of 25-16, 25-6 and 25-17.
The Lady Panthers will officially start their season off on Thursday, as they travel to Cedar Shoals to face off against Cedar Shoals and Salem.

Lady Panthers open new season Thursday
Match time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
Jackson County coach Crystal Colley said that she is excited about her second year as head coach.
“I feel like we have already made some major improvements as a team,” she said. “Our teamwork is great this year, and after competing in our first game, our major goal is to improve our serving percentage. I look forward to a great year.”
