The Jefferson Recreation Sea Dragons swim team has only one more meet before the GRPA District Meet on Saturday. This Thursday, the team will be in Commerce taking on the Tiger Sharks. The district meet is in Habersham County at the Clarkesville Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center, Saturday, July 12.
The Sea Dragons competed in the Dacula Invitational on June 21. The invitational was open to the 12 teams of the North Georgia Swim League.
The team had a number of top five finishers at the invitational.
In the 50 freestyle:
Eight and under girls - Carlee Jackson took second place, Anna Swaim took third place and McKenzie Klinck took fifth place.
Eight and under boys - Joshua Joransen took first place followed by Dylan Childress in second place,
Jackson Lamb took third place and Trent Novicki took fourth place
10 and under girls – Erica Hughes took first place and Lilli Blackstock took fourth place.
10 and under boys - Jonathan Joransen took first place and Tucker Richards took fourth place.
In the 25 freestyle:
Six and under girls - McKenzie Klinck had an All-Star time and Kylee Novicki took fourth place.
Six and under boys – Jackson Perry had an All-Star time.
Eight and under girls - Lindsey Kelley had an All-Star time, Dory Goocher took second place and Carlee Jackson took fourth place.
Eight and under boys - Joshua Joransen had an All-Star time, Jackson Lamb took second place, Dylan Childress took third place and Lucas Carreno took fourth place.
10 and under girls – Erica Hughes took first place and Lilli Blackstock took third place.
In the 25 breaststroke:
Eight and under boys - Lucas Carreno took first place.
10 and under boys - Jonathan Joransen took third place.
In the 25 backstroke:
Six and under girls - McKenzie Klinck had an All-Star time, Kylee Novicki took second place and Logan Knight took third place.
Six and under boys – Jackson Perry had an All-Star time.
Eight and under girls - Lindsey Kelley had an All-Star time.
Eight and under boys - Jackson Lamb took first place, Conrad Hood took second place and Dylan Childress took fourth place.
10 and under girls – Bree Hanson took fourth place.
In the 50 backstroke:
12 and under boys - Blake Harkins took second place.
14 and under girls - Elizabeth Edwards took third place.
In the 25 fly:
Eight and under girls - McKenzie Klinck took fifth place.

10 and under girls - McKenna Lee took third place and Lilli Blackstock took fourth place.

In the 100 individual medley:

The Sea Dragons will compete against Commerce on Thursday at Commerce Park and Rec Aquatic Center. Saturday the Sea Dragons travel to Habersham for the GRPA District Meet.
