Commerce made a big splash at the North Georgia Swim League district meet last week.
Of the 28 Tiger Sharks that represented Commerce at District, 22 qualified to advance to state. The two-day meet will begin July 24 in Tifton.
Coach Nick Moulton was excited about the success of the team, noting that this is the most Tiger Sharks to qualify for state in at least the past 15 years.

Tiger Sharks’ Sights Set On State
“To qualify 22 out of 28 swimmers is an amazing accomplishment for the team and a tribute to how hard everyone has worked this summer,” Moulton said, adding that nearly every swimmer, including those who did not qualify for state, achieved personal best times on Saturday.
Before the swimmers head to south Georgia, the Tiger Sharks will be a little closer to home this weekend as they return to the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center in Gainesville for the North Georgia Swim League Championships.
Commerce qualified in 24 individual events and eight relays for the state meet. To qualify, the swimmer had to finish in the top three of his or her event.
