After months of preparation, the big moment for the Jackson County Parks and Rec department is upon us.
Opening ceremonies for the Dizzy Dean 11-Year-Old Baseball World Series are slated to get underway at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Eagle Stadium at East Jackson Comprehensive High School.
As of Monday morning, 34 teams were slated to take part from six states. Three area teams, the Jackson County Force, the Jackson County Bullets and the Jefferson Dragons will be taking part.
