Tiger Sharks Swimmers Ready For District

The Tiger Sharks are counting down the days until the North Georgia Swim League District meet this weekend.

The meet determines which swimmers will continue into the state competition later in the month. The top three swimmers in each event qualify for state.

This year, district is at the Frances Meadows facility in Gainesville.

This week, the Tiger Sharks hosted the rival Sea Dragons of Jefferson on Tuesday. Results from yesterday’s meet were unavailable at press time.

On July 1, Commerce traveled to Gainesville to take on the Chattahoochee Country Club swim team in a dual meet. The meet was primarily for the 12-and-under swimmers, while also offering those swimmers the chance to compete in the individual medley. The individual medley requires swimmers to utilize each of the four strokes.
