Madison County’s Hall sixth in state triple jump

Madison County High School junior track standout Alexis Hall placed sixth in the triple jump at the state track meet in Albany over the weekend, her highest finish in three events.

Hall also took eighth in the long jump and competed in the 100 meters. She failed to qualify for the 100- meter finals, however, finishing fifth in second heat on Friday.

Hall earned three points for her finish in the triple jump and one for her performance in the long jump.
With four points, Madison County finished in a six-way tie for 24th place in Class AAAA.
Hall was the Lady Raiders’ lone representative at state.

She qualified for the three events by winning the region triple jump and finishing second in the long jump and 100 meters at the 8-AAAA meet April 29 and May 1.

Hall gained “National Silver Standard” recognition at region for her performance in both the long jump and triple jump.
