The Lady Tigers were disappointed in Albany over the weekend as stiff competition from rival class A schools edged the Commerce athletes out of the finals.
Sa’quavia Varnum, Erica Greene, Shekia Moon, Alexis Knox, Haiden Nunn and Drea Mathis represented the Lady Tigers at the state track meet.
Overall, Wesleyan garnered 83 points to win Class A. Darlington (51) followed Wesleyan as Our Lady of Mercy (50), Athens Christian (46) and Turner County (43) rounded out the top five.
Sa’quavia Varnum was one of the six Lady Tigers who made the trip to Albany. The Lady Tigers were unable to secure a berth in the finals competition.
