Alexis Hall won one event at region, added a pair of second-place finishes and earned “national elite” distinction in two events during a huge 8-AAAA meet for the junior.
Hall accounted for 26 of Madison County’s 33 points at the region meet, which concluded Friday.
The Lady Raiders finished eighth in 8-AAAA.
Hall won the triple jump (36’4.75”) and took runner-up honors in the long jump (18’1.5”) and 100 meters (12.78 seconds). She gained “National Silver Standard” recognition for her performance in both the long jump and triple jump, according to gatfx.com, a Georgia track and field website.
The national standard for girls in the long jump is 17’6” and 36’ in the triple jump.
Hall will represent Madison County at the girls’ state meet in Albany May 14-16 in the triple jump, long jump and 100 meters.
Other Lady Raiders scoring at region were Mia Barrett, who finished third in the shot put (32’2.5”), and Molly Glaze, who took eighth in the high jump (8’).
