It was another solid week for the Jefferson Dragons track team.
Jefferson started out last week by hosting Banks County and Riverside on Wednesday.
The boys came out on top, earning 78.5 points to Riverside’s 47 and Banks County’s 44.5.
Tyler Porter won in the pole vault. J.J. Damons won in the high jump, won in the 200-meter dash and placed second in the 100-meters. Josh Kles won in the discus and placed second in the shot put. Zac Crosby won in the long jump and tied for second in the 400-meters. Wesley Milton took first in the 400-meters, first in the 300-meter hurdles and placed second in the triple jump. Michael Stephenson won in the 800-meters and placed third in the 1600-meters.
The team of Damons, Crosby, Josh Watkins and Milton won in the 4x400.
Other placers included Madison Santiago, who took second in the pole vault and fourth in the 110-meter hurdles. Tyler Alexander placed third in the pole vault. Jordan Bratek placed fourth in the pole vault. Will Puckett placed third in the triple jump. Noah McCarthy placed second in the high jump. Trae Timmerman placed fourth in the 1600-meters and third in the 800-meters. Phillip Brust placed fourth in the 3200-meters.
The team of Crosby, Damons, Milton and Virgil Appleby took second in the 4x100.
The girls, meanwhile, faced off against Banks County, and outdistanced the Lady Leopards 120.5 points to 14.5.
For the girls, Kasey McDonald won in the shot put and placed third in the discus. Missy Parks won in the pole vault and won in the 100-meter dash. Marcayla Hester won in the triple jump, won in the 400-meters and won in the 200-meters. Devin Stanley won in the high jump. Brianna Caudell won in the discus and won in the 100-meter hurdles. Rachel Goza took first in the long jump and second in the 800-meters. Kaylee Lopez won in the 1600-meters. Erin Knight placed first in the 800-meters. Rebecca Stoudenmire won in the 300-meter hurdles and placed second in the pole vault. Kaylee Lopez placed first in the 3200-meters.
The team of Callie Holloway, Starnes, Parks and Hester won in the 4x100. The team of Goza, Knight, Holly Baron and Hester took first in the 4x400.
Other placers included Rana Davis, who placed second in the shot put. Eden Starnes placed second in the triple jump, second in the long jump and second in the 100-meters. Danielle Watson placed second n the high jump. Savannah Holland placed third in the high jump and third in the 200-meters. Alison Missler took second in the 1600-meters. Lauren Taronji placed third in the 1600-meters. Baron placed second in the 400-meters. Regina Watkins tied for third in the 100-meters. Iniki Allen placed second in the 100-meter hurdles. Holloway placed second in the 200-meters. Alison Missler took second in the 3200-meters.
