Rain postpones several JHS events

Last week’s wet weather meant scheduling headaches for several Jefferson teams.

For the undefeated Jefferson tennis teams, it meant the March 25 match against Athens Academy and the March 26 match against Providence were washed out.

The Athens Academy matches will be made up on April 14 at Athens Academy. The Providence matches will not be made up, as region championship play will be underway before a makeup day is available.

The Jefferson track team was slated to host North Hall and Flowery Branch on March 25. That meet was postponed due to the weather. No makeup date was available at press time.

The Jefferson golf teams also faced problems due to the weather. The March 25 match was postponed due to the weather, as was Saturday’s Madison County Invitational for the varsity boys. Makeup dates were unavailable at press time.
