Last Wednesday the Jefferson track and field Dragons placed several top finishes in the home tri-meet, before competing in the GAC invitational on Saturday.

Coming up for the Dragons’ track and field teams, Jefferson is scheduled to host Flowery Branch and North Hall this (Wednesday) afternoon at 4:30 p.m.

The Dragons return after spring break on April 8 hosting a meet with Rabun County and Berkmar attending.

Jefferson hosted East Jackson and North Oconee last Wednesday.

Both the Dragons (66.5) and Lady Dragons (85) took first place overall with the Lady Titans of North Oconee (60) taking second for the girls, and the East Jackson Eagles (64) taking second for the boys.

For the Lady Dragons, Jefferson had several placers.

On Saturday, Jefferson competed in the Greater Atlanta Christian Invitational in Norcross against 13 other teams.

The Jefferson boys took sixth overall finishing with 45 points behind Westminster (122.5), Peachtree Ridge, Cross Keys, Buford and GAC.
The Dragons had a number of point winners and a first place finish.

Taking fifth overall at the invitational, the Lady Dragons scored 61 points. GAC took first with 107 points, followed by Decatur, Lovett and Westminster.
