The Jefferson golf teams split last week with a win over Hebron Christian Academy and a loss to Providence Christian Academy.
Today, (Wednesday) Jefferson will head to Homer to play Banks County at Hammer’s Glen. The girls and boys will tee off at 3:30 p.m.
Jefferson played at Traditions last Tuesday against Hebron Christian. The Dragons shot 177-191 to defeat the Lions. The Lady Dragons had a very low 99-142 win over Hebron.
Patrick Hilton, who shot a 41, led the boys. Michael Baker followed closely with a 42 and Andrew Thompson scored a 46. Tying for fourth were Cody Smith and Austin Rowland at 48.
The ladies’ Jennifer Brueshaber at 45 and Hanna Chapman at 54 easily defeated Hebron in excess of 40 points.
Up next for the golfers was Providence Christian Academy on Thursday.
Playing again at Traditions, Jefferson moved to a 5-2 record after the boys were defeated 174-183. The ladies posted a loss by eight as Providence took the 90-98 win. The Lady Dragons are now 4-2 for the season.
Cody Smith posted a 43 score to lead the Dragons, followed by Patrick Hilton at 45 and Michael Baker at 46. Andrew Thompson shot a 49.
Jennifer Brueshaber led with a 43 as Brooke Whelchel and Kara Perry tied with 55 apiece.
