Track Teams Take Third At Athens Academy

The Commerce track teams are coming off of a third place finish at Athens Academy last week.

The Lady Tigers finished third with 28 points behind first place Oglethorpe County (95) and Athens Academy (89). Prince Avenue finished fourth with 20 points.

Commerce’s boys scored 47 points behind Oglethorpe’s 102 and Prince Avenue’s 60. Athens Academy took fourth with 39 points.

Tuesday, the Commerce track and field teams were at North Oconee. Results from that meet were unavailable at press time.

Coming up for Commerce is the Oglethorpe Invitational this weekend. The meet will begin at 10:00 a.m. weather permitting.
