While Brian Smith is pleased with his team’s start in the Region 8-AAAA battles this season, the Winder-Barrow High School team also knows there is still plenty of race left to be run.
The Diamond Doggs are 5-0 in region play and enjoyed an off date Monday. The schedule resumes today (Wednesday) with a trip to Heritage and a home contest Friday against Salem. A huge test arrives Monday when WBHS travels to defending state champion Loganville.
Whether on the pitcher’s mound or on the base path, Winder-Barrow High School’s Clint Spratlin, competing against Apalachee High School last week, has been a big part of the Bulldoggs 5-0 start in Region 8-AAAA.
