Opening a season with two wins is a good start for any team and that is the position Banks County’s tennis teams are in.
“I am very proud of the team for stepping up and having such a great start to the season,” girls coach Lisa Thomas said. “We are looking forward to the rest of our season.”
Both the boys and girls picked up wins over Dawson County and East Jackson last week.
“Our kids have responded pretty well this year,” Mike Ruth, the boys head coach said. “We are happy to be where we are right now.”
This week, the Leopards faced East Jackson again on Monday. Results from those matches were unavailable at press time.
Tomorrow (Thursday) Banks hosts Jefferson at 4 p.m. Jefferson’s teams are 3-0 coming into their first match with Banks.
For results from the Dawson County and East Jackson matches see the March 11 edition of The Banks County News.
