Commerce suffered its second loss this past Monday to Banks County after back-to-back wins last week.
The 7-4 loss to Banks County came after the Diamond Tigers defeated Oglethorpe and Hart County, deciding each game by two runs.
Coach Steve Cotrell will have to get the Tigers to shake off the loss as Commerce prepares to face Prince Avenue’s Wolverines in Bogart at 5:30 on Friday.
So far this season, Commerce has scored 39 runs compared to Prince Avenue’s three, however, those three runs were against a quad-A opponent. Between the schools for the past three seasons, Prince Avenue holds a 5-1 advantage. The Wolverines will open region competition for the Tigers.
